EchoMock ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the EchoMock mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
Account Information: Email address, name, and authentication credentials (via Firebase Auth or Apple Sign-In).
Profile Data: Interview track (SWE/PM/Data/EM), experience level, and target companies you select.
Practice Content: Your interview answers, session history, and AI-generated feedback scores.
Generate AI-powered interview questions tailored to your profile and experience level.
Provide real-time feedback and scoring on your interview answers.
Track your practice progress with analytics (session count, average scores, weak areas).
Support text-to-speech playback of interview questions.
Send important account updates or service notifications.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase) servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We use Firebase Authentication, Firestore Security Rules, and secure Cloud Functions endpoints. Interview content is processed by MiniMax AI services for question generation and answer evaluation, but is not permanently stored by MiniMax.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with essential service providers:
Firebase (Google Cloud) — Authentication, data storage, and serverless functions.
MiniMax — AI model for interview question generation and answer evaluation.
All providers are bound by data processing agreements and industry-standard security practices.
5. Your Rights
Access and review your personal data stored in the app.
Update or correct your profile information at any time.
Delete your account and all associated data permanently through Settings → Delete Account.
Export your data (coming in a future update).
6. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data and all associated records (profile, sessions, topic scores, credits) from our systems.
7. Children's Privacy
EchoMock is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
